IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alma Bejarano
Suarez
October 12, 1940 – October 29, 2025
Alma Bejarano Suarez, born on October 12, 1940, in Nogales, Arizona, went home to our Lord on October 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A lifelong resident of Southern Arizona, Alma lived in Nogales, Patagonia, and ultimately made her home in Tucson. She was a proud member of the Pueblo High School Class of 1959.
Alma was the beloved wife of the late Tony Y. Suarez. Together, they raised a family that was the absolute center of her world. She dedicated herself fully to nurturing her children and later, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Alma dedicated many years of her professional life to serving her community through her work with several Tucson institutions. She was a valued employee at Kmart, later worked for the Sunnyside School District, and concluded her career with the City of Tucson, where she served for many years.
Her loving legacy is carried on by her three children: Michael Anthony (Christina) Suarez, Patricia Ann (Larry) Miramontez, and David Ernesto Suarez. Alma was a cherished grandmother, known affectionately as Nana, to Tina Rennae (Gerrit) Vande Mheen, Andrea Lisette Suarez, Joshua Paul Miramontez, Tashara Ann Miramontez, Asenath Kezia Miramontez, and Abigail Ruth Miramontez. She took great joy in her great-grandchildren: Roman Angel Tamayo, Ella Vande Mheen, Michael Moses Orantez, and Esme Rennae Orantez.
Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Y. Suarez; her mother, Carmen O. Figueroa; her step-father, Alejandro C. Figueroa; her father, Joaquin Bejarano; and her siblings, Richard "Caseno" Bejarano, Ernesto Bejarano, Maria Norma Bejarano, and Carlos Bejarano.
In lieu of flowers, Alma requested donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN. 38105, or online at www.stjude.org/donate
