Finished her journey on November 15, 2024 at the age of 96 years old. She peacefully transitioned in her journey to join family members and friends.
Alice was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Edward, and by one son, Richard (Diana). Parents, Moises and Aurelia Soltero. She is survived by her children, Martha Celey and Mario (Marian) Cavaletto. Also survived by eight grandchildren, Sean Celey, Melissa (Travis) Wilson, Delania Cavaletto, Christopher (Amy) Cavaletto, Sara (Chris) Upton, Zach Warzecka, Justin (Kim) Spoonamore, Brandon (Kelley) Cavaletto. Four great-grandchildren, Mya and Lyla Cavaletto, Cooper Wilson, Wyatt Cavaletto. Her sister, Lucinda Ehlers of Phx. AZ.
Alice was born in Mesa, Ariz on July 26, 1928. Tucson was her hometown, graduate of Tucson High Class of 1946. Long time parishioner of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Past president of Catholic Daughters of the Americans, Court #1227. She was always ready to do her part to help out when needed.
The family would like to express our thanks and appreciation for the wonderful care given to her by this special group of ladies Alex, Eva, Margie, Esther, Lisa, and Sylvia. Alice was able to remain at home for 4 and half years. She continued with residential assisted living care until her death.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, 1:00 pm at Holy Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association and or St. Ambrose Catholic Church would be greatly appreciated.
