IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alex Cota
Bravo
February 7, 1932 – December 5, 2023
Alex C Bravo "Pelinque"
91, our beloved father was surrounded by family, as our Lord embraced him and took his hand and said come with me.
Our Dad had a beautiful soul, he loved and touched everyone he met. His love for our Lord, our Blessed Mother, our mother, and his children were evident. His acts of thoughtfulness and kindness were not limited to just his family and were felt by many friends, neighbors and acquaintances. He had a way of touching lives and hearts in his own special way. He was always joking and he stayed very young at heart.
He was a big Dallas Cowboy fan, he loved his Wildcats, Diamondbacks, Phoenix Suns, and he always cheered for the Golden State Warriors. He loved watering and caring for his lilies, roses, grapes and his lemon trees. He never failed to watch the Price is Right. He also loved cruising the neighborhood and checking up on his family.
One of his proudest joy's was serving his country and being a Marine. Dad served proudly during the Korean War. He was a Charter member of the Marine Corp League, and a member of the American Legion. He was a member of St. Margaret's Knights of Columbus, the Hospitality Ministry, The Scared Heart of Jesus Society, and an usher for many years. His joy was to watch the little ones he selected to bring the gifts up to the alter, now grown up as adults. Volunteering at St. Margaret Mary Parish filled the void when our Mom was called home.
Alex is preceded in death by his beautiful wife of 58 years, Ruth "Cooky" Y Bravo, parents Arturo, Gertrude, and stepfather Conrad Grijalva; brother, Art Bravo and sisters, Dora Verdugo, and Josie Fimbres.
Alex is survived by his children, Lucy (Roy) Juvera, Alex (Lisa) Bravo and Linda (Robert) Robles. Many nieces, nephews, godchildren and step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Dad, we know you will always be in our hearts, but our hearts are hurting because we love you so much, and physically you will not be here. You have left us with so many memories that we will cherish until we are reunited with you in Christ. We find comfort you are now with Mom, because we know how much you missed her. We are blessed that God granted us with your presence for so long. Rest in Peace and sleep with the Angels.
On behalf of his children, we would like to thank you for your love, prayers and support during this time.
