IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Albert C
Barrios
December 13, 1948 – April 18, 2025
Albert was born December 13, 1948 in Douglas, AZ and was called home on Good Friday, April 18, 2025 in Tucson, AZ. He was a loving husband of 53 years to his wife Frances, and father to 3 children; Lelani, Lynette, and Steven. After graduating Douglas High School in 1969 he joined the Army and later the Air Force National Guard. He loved to talk and was often the "life of the party". He loved to joke and had no problem making friends of all ages. In his later years you would see him riding around his apartment complex in his power chair chatting with everyone around.
He loved music, especially the Gypsy Kings and any mariachi/Mexican music. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Diamondbacks, and his old Western movies; especially John Wayne ones.
He was a very strong-willed man who never took 'no' for an answer which is what made him successful in life and at work. He retired from Auto Zone as a manager and was a strict, but fair manager. He would do what he could to help those in need. He was known as "Tata" to everyone and their kids.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Dolores Barrios and his father, Tomás Zavala Barrios, his brothers Tomas and Santiago, and his son Steven Joseph Barrios. He is survived by his wife, Frances, daughters Lelani Mitchell and Lynette Valdez, grandchildren Tristen and Diego, his siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was called home, but he shall always live in our hearts forever. May he rest in peace.
