IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Aida L
Rivero
February 18, 1931 – December 5, 2022
It is with great joy, love, and sorrow that we share the passing on to eternal life of Aida L. Rivero. The beautiful mother of Cristy, Ruben Jr., Victor, Patsy, and Mando, grandmother, great grandmother, spiritual Nana to so many, trusted advisor, friend and elder of our community, was called home after midnight, December 5, 2022.
We celebrate her presence in heaven with her husband Ruben of 62 years, her parents Miguel and Concepcion Romo Lopez, sisters Anita Lopez, Ofelia Leon and Graciela Maldonado and so many who lovingly welcomed her home. She lived a long, beautiful life that reflected her faith and trust in Christ. Her gentle disposition and calm counsel was known to many.
Survived by her Daughters Cris Aguiar (Henry +), Patsy Foreman; Sons Ruben M Rivero, Victor M Rivero (Rosario), Armando M Rivero and 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; niece Hilda Fernandez, nephew Alfred Maldonado and cousin Carmelita Lopez.
Born February 18, 1931 in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico married Ruben and moved to Tucson, Arizona, 71 years ago. Aida was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. St Ambrose was her parish where she served as a Eucharistic minister for 30 yrs., prepared Spanish speaking parents for Baptism classes and shared scripture in Spanish. The Lord brought Colleen Eicher to the Rivero home over 44 yrs. ago where she shared the word of God with Aida and family. The Lord gave her the opportunity to travel with her spreading the word of God in Spanish.
Rejoice in what is said in Revelations 14:13 "Happy are those who die in the Lord! Happy indeed, the Spirit says; now they can rest for ever after their work, since their good deeds go them."
Eternal rest grant our sister Aida, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen
