Adrian was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at the age of 82. Adrian was a native of San Diego, CA who lived in Tucson for the past 30+ years. He was one of a large family of siblings who grew up in San Diego before he enlisted in the Air Force at the age of 17 and served from 1962-1968.
Adrian spent his life working in various administrative capacities after he returned from the Air Force. He worked as an airline mechanic before he embarked on a career with the Veterans Administration Hospital system where he headed the department of Environmental Services at facilities in Phoenix, Texas, West Virginia, Puerto Rico, West Virginia and San Francisco.
Known for his sharp wit and sense of humor, he was also a history buff. His last years of work included working at Tucson International Airport and the Pima County Elections Board. He absolutely loved both of these experiences and the people he worked with.
Adrian worked until he suffered a heart attack in 2023 followed with a diagnosis of renal cancer. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Tucson Medical Center who provided great care and compassion to him throughout his many stays. The family also acknowledges the care and compassion of his long-time primary care physician Dr. Dustin Morris.
Adrian enjoyed a long marriage of 53 years with his wife Irma, son Thomas, daughter in-law Savannah and grandchildren including Honeeleigh, Trinidee, Emmanuel, Nehemiah, Sapphire, Jemma, Nalani, Uriah, Isiah, Isaac and lastest grandchild Shayna. Adrian is also survived by his remaining brother John and sister in-law Jung from North Carolina, and extended family from Kansas, Oklahoma, California, and Maryland.
The loss and pain we feel is unimaginable and we will miss Adrian forever.
