IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Adelina E
Armendariz
November 23, 1928 – June 5, 2025
Adelina Armendariz, age 96, of Tucson, Arizona, was born on November 23, 1928, and passed away on June 5, 2025. She is survived by her children, Manuel Armendariz of Tucson, Sandra Armendariz of Marana, Adrian Armendariz (Victoria Coakley) of Placentia, CA., and her grandchildren, Serena, Evan, and Tiffany Armendariz, and Corrina DiPirro.
"Abuelita," as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren, loved to cook for her family and always made sure to provide an endless supply of tortillas, frijoles, tamales, and tacos for those she loved and served. To her, love was a full plate, and she kept the plates full. It didn't stop there. Her four-legged fur-babies were never without her loving care, for they too were her children and a big part of her life. She fended for them, cared for them, and mourned them when they passed. And when she wasn't too busy caring for her flock, she could be seen in her garden, faithfully tending her precious roses and garden "matitas." And despite her advancing years, worsening arthritis, and the use of a walker, she made sure her "flowering" children were well fed and watered.
Devout in her Catholic faith, Adelina lived a simple life, deeply rooted in Christ. She faithfully attended Santa Monica Catholic Church, read her bible, and prayed her rosary. She was a long-time member of the "Guadalupanas," having joined the group in the early eighties. And now, as her tired body could no longer endure the physicality of life, she has taken flight on her final journey, in the company of angels, to her heavenly home, having made us all better by having had her in our lives. We will miss you, Abuelita, and may the angels and our Heavenly Father bless you and keep you. Rest in heavenly peace.
The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? Psalms 27:1
