Our loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, Petra Q. Quiroga received her angel wings on Monday, September 02, 2013. She was born on August 25, 1955 in Douglas, Az to parents, Fernando and Mercedes Quintero. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Orlando A. Quiroga; Children, Celina Q. Swanson (Jeff), PFC. Orlando A. Quiroga (Marine Corp.); Mother, Mercedes R. Quintero; Brothers, Martin (Blanca), Fernando III (Lydia), Octavio (Maria); Sisters, Socorro (José), Leticia (Roy), Nellie (Guillermo); Countless uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. Known as Nana Petra to Nephew, Roy Jr. and Isabela. She is preceded in death by her father, Fernando A. Quintero. Petra was a dedicated district aid for former congressman, Jim Kolbe. During her 17 years, she went over and beyond to help countless people and exceedingly set the bar for others to strive for. Her most important role was that of a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, nana and loyal friend. Petra loved music, cooking, sewing and spending time in her garden with her Chihuahuas especially Mackie her pride and joy. She was the most playful, selfless, funny, kind and caring person you knew. Petra always had a smile and hug for everyone, stranger or friend. She will be missed by countless friends and family. It is hard to believe that such a beautiful soul has left this earth so soon. My heart is broken and a void that will never be filled. You are and will always be the love of my life, Babe. I promise to take care of our children. Our love for each other will unite again.
