Gregory Damen
Croucher
July 14, 1978 – June 2, 2018
Correctional Officer II Gregory "Greg" Croucher passed away the evening of Saturday, June 2, 2018. Greg is survived by his wife, Celina A. Croucher; daughter, Andre'a Croucher-Vargas; son, Caleb Vargas; mother, Teressa Brumfiel; father, Gregory Croucher; brother, Drew Eib, and other extended family and close friends.
Greg was a proud member of the United States Air Force who served overseas in support of Operation Enduring Freedom prior to the completion of his enlistment period. After faithfully serving in the military, Greg began his career with the Arizona Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer I at COTA on October 25, 2010. After graduation, Greg transferred to ASPC-Tucson, Manzanita Unit, as a CO II. He transferred to Rincon Unit in November 2013 and then to complex in March 2014 where he was last assigned.
Greg was a man who had a passion for many things, which first and foremost was his family. He loved his family more than life itself. His love for his wife, Celina, was unconditional. Greg truly cherished Celina with all of his heart. Greg was also a proud father of his daughter, Andre'a, a senior this year in High School and his son, Caleb. Greg and his family loved watching rodeos, playing paintball, going to concerts and baseball games, watching U of A games and movie night. Greg really didn't care what he was doing, as long as he was with his family he was a happy man, which always put the biggest smile on his face.
Greg liked spending time with his Brothers and Sisters from the Tactical Team. He was a hardworking and dedicated Officer from day one, always giving his best effort and seeking to improve himself for the betterment of the team. He was always ready to serve the mission at hand, day or night, rain or shine, near or far. No mission was left un-challenged by Greg. Greg was a loving and devoted husband, a wonderful father, an exceptional Officer and a genuine down to earth friend.
Greg will be profoundly missed by his family and friends, as well as his extended family at ADC.
