Irene Romero , age 66 passed away peacefully after a tough battle with kidney and congestive heart failure on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Northwest Hospital.
She was born August 15, 1951 in Tucson Arizona. She graduated in 1969 from San Manuel High School. After graduating she worked at a medical office as a secretary. She got married on July 12, 1971 to Raymond Romero. Their hobbies they enjoyed together were watching her U of A Wildcats play and getting Pats Chilli Dogs. SHE WAS A DIEHARD WILDCAT FAN. They enjoyed every moment they had with their kids and grandkids. She always had a smile on her face, she touched the lives of many people and she will be missed dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Ronquillo; mother, Anita Grantland; 2 sisters and 1 brother.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Raymond Romero; her fur baby Mia; son, Gabby (Darcy) Romero; daughter, Tiffany (Jr) Aragon, and son, Miguel (Amie) Romero. She had 12 grandkids, 2 great grandkids, and 1 on the way. Also survived by her siblings, John Ronquillo; sister, Sarah (Ray) Barney, Cindy (Albert) Ortiz, Shelly (Michael) Barriga, Candi Ronqillo, Kim (David) Nolen and many nieces and nephews.

Irene worked at Fresenius Dialysis Center in Mammoth Arizona, for approximately 15 years. She fell in love with all of her patients. She enjoyed her job and enjoyed the staff and doctors. She always made the patients feel so welcomed, and greeted all of them with a smile and a hug. The first thing the patients would see when they entered the building was the beautiful smile she always carried with her and she always managed to make them feel welcomed and cared for.
