Obituary

Crispina (Castillo) Yslas 92 passed away peacefully in her sleep March 19, 2019. Born in Florence, Arizona on October 31, 1926. Crispina (AKA) Pina, she was one of twelve children. Crispina worked for St. Mary's hospital, and Max Factor Cosmetics, before meeting her husband Octavio" Hector" Yslas while in the Marines.

Octavio and Cris wed in October 31 1953, they had 5 children who they loved and raised in Pacoima, CA. Pina was known for her gentle spirit, she would make friend where ever she went. She loved to laugh and share stories about growing up here in Tucson, and getting in trouble by the nuns. She was a rebel at heart who loved to dance. Cris adored her sisters, brothers, cousins, comadres, compadres, nieces and nephews. Her favorite memories always included listing to her brothers, and nephews sing on the guitar at family get togethers.   She lived for her children, grandchildren, and great -grand children, and always insisted that faith and family come first.

Cris and Hector were always known for their moves across the dance floor. They would never say no to the last dance, played at the end of a special family celebration.  In Cris's later years she could always be found walking around the swap meet, and swapping stories with her friends about the latest novella. She always loved to share her opinion, and was known for being lovingly strong. She loved to get her voice heard and would not back down until she got her point across.

Cris was preceded in death by her husband Octavio "Hector" Yslas and her son Bobbie Yslas.  She leaves behind her sons Hector Yslas , Roman Yslas, Michael Yslas, and David Yslas and daughter- in-law Ada Yslas.
